B.T.T.T.
BACK TO THE BASICS
60-DAY ADVENTURE
January 29, 2006- MARCH 29, 2006
COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF: THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
DRILL INSTRUCTIOR: PASTOR HENRY B. WALLACE
DRILL INSTRUCTOR'S MANUAL: THE WORD OF GOD

INTRODUCTION TO B.T.T.B

Over the next sixty days the soldiers of Grace will be attending boot camp. This camp will concentrate on the four all-important disciplines of the Christian: Bible study, Prayer, Worship and Witnessing.

To live a victorious Christian Life, I must master the routine. Think of what we co routinely on a daily basis: We get up, we brush our teeth, we take a shower, we watch TV, we go to bed and the routine begins all over again.

Now it is true that there are other things we do in between these basic routines, but by in large our day is made up of a series of routines that are repeated day after day after day.

Guess what? That's exactly how you can live a victorious Christian life; by mastering the routine. That's what B.T.T.B is. It is getting back to the basics.

ATTENTION! You are now in Boot Camp and your Commander-In-Chief says remember you job is to please Him who hath chosen you to be a soldier.

Bible Study 101
Day 1

I. Why should I study the Bible?
      (2 Timothy 3:16)
- Because it's God Word. Don't you want to know
what God has to say to you. After all wouldn't it be
great to hear what the one who created me has to
             say about me.
- Because it will benefit me personally.
- Because I want to grow ( 1 Peter 2:2 )

II. When should I study the Bible. ( Psalms 1:2 )
Daily
Habitually
Continually

III. How should I study the Bible
        ( Romans 10:17; Luke 5:5 )
I am to study it in or with faith. I come to the bible    with the attitude that I believe what God says,
even though I might not understand or agree with
                what God says.

Today I will read Luke 24:13-35. In addition to the notes provided, I will jot down my personal observations from reading and studying this text.

You will need a good Study Bible & Bible Concordance.

If we study this text carefully we will discover several wonderful truths about the Power of Bible Study.

The Condition Before The Bible Study

- The two men were sad
- The two men were blind to the presence of the Lord
- The two men were living in unbelief

faith in the Word of God. ( vvs. 25-26 )
        -    The Lord taught from all the scriptures ( v. 27 )

The Conditions After The Bible Study

The Lord

Day 3 The Power Of Bible Study
( Ephesians 6:10-20 )
 Today I will read Ephesians 6:10- 20 .

The Christian life is a battle a war. Bible Study helps us understand what the war is all about. Bible Study equips us to live victoriously in the midst of a hostile world.

In Bible Study I learn who my enemy is ( v. 12 )

In Bible Study I learn who my enemy is not ( v. 12 )

In Bible Study I learn the weapons I use in this battle.

- My helmet is.. ( v. 17)
- My sword is ..( v. 17 )
- Pray..( v. 18 )

I use these three weapons under the power of the Holy Spirit Bible
